Focus on the outdoors
Twice a day outside:
We go to the park for one extended outing, and go to the garden at specific pre-scheduled times of the day, too.
To have energy to be outside every day: healthy food, such as steamed broccoli, carrots, courgettes, green beans, bell peppers, baby corn; with protein, rice, etc., to foster growth and cognitive development. Much of our food is organic.

Home cooked – for freshness, to preserve vitamins and minerals in the food; promotes children’s growth
Homecooked organic squeeze pouches (never store-bought ones, which are processed/chemicals-filled) are freshly prepared for when we’re outdoors. Children always wear warm clothes and layers
3 areas/ rooms used, plus the kitchen, etc.

The setting
In a very safe ground-floor setting, and all amenities necessary to make children happy and grow, stretched over several areas and rooms
Respectful, growth-focused, and warm
We adhere to the early years curriculum that is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a framework that builds on seven areas of learning. In our setting, this is done in a fun, safe and affectionate way, and the children are busy each day with either activities that focus on this, or being out in nature. We also create an annual plan with a different learning focus each week.

Learning, growth, and joy

About me
I’m Silvana, born and raised in Mexico, married in London, truly passionate about offering reliable, high-quality and safety-focused childcare, in a warm ground-floor setting with a garden (we typically spend a long time in the park and a short time in the garden). I believe I offer an excellent child daycare, bringing lots of confidence, energy and experience to my work with the children.
Moreover, studies have found that being outdoors enhances cognitive development in children aged 0 to 4 years of age, which makes my garden-setting and love for the outdoors invaluable. (I always make sure the children are wearing warm clothes when heading into the garden and to the park.)
The main pillar that our business is based on is my passion for working with the children and preparing their activities, as well as for organising the day-to-day for the children within my setting.
My husband (German-British) works with me.
Safety first
Safety is the top priority of everything I do, and I’m a loving childminder who strongly focuses on the personal growth, play and development of children.
To get to the park, we cross the street at the traffic lights outside Gilmore House, and that’s it – we’re already there. We stay in enclosed dog-free zones of the park.
We safely cross the street at the traffic lights in front of Gilmore House. The very close proximity of the park to my setting makes our journey there very safe and easy.
We use a handcart and double buggy, or sometimes belly-carriers, to go to the park.
I’m loving, energetic (I enjoy doing sports), and love to play and foster the learning and development of the children (but I can also be firm, because there are rules, however I always and without exception communicate this in a considerate, mindful, and solution-oriented way).
